Terms of Use

What this site is
St. Augustine Dock Repair is operated by Brian Higdon, sole proprietor and is an information and project-request service. It is not a contractor. It is not licensed or certified to perform the work described on this site, does not perform that work, and does not supervise, employ or control anyone who does.
We do not vouch for any contractor
A referral is not an endorsement, a recommendation, a warranty, or a statement that any contractor is licensed, insured, bonded, qualified or any good. We make no such claim about anyone. Verify it yourself before you let anyone work on your property:ask for the licence number and a current certificate of insurance, and check the licence with the St. Johns County Contractor Licensing office and the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
Any contract is between you and the contractor
If you hire someone, that agreement is yours and theirs. St. Augustine Dock Repair is not a party to it, receives nothing under it, and has no role in the price, the schedule, the workmanship, the warranty, the permits, or any dispute that follows. Complaints about work performed go to the contractor and, if needed, to the licensing authority — not to us, because we were not there and did not do it.
The information on this site
Everything here is general information about the trade, written to help you ask better questions. It is not professional, legal, engineering or code advice, and it is not specific to your property. Where price ranges appear, they describe what the market in the area typically charges. They are market information, never a quote. Only a contractor who has looked at your property can quote it.
We try to keep statutory and code references accurate and current, and we cite the primary source where we can. Law changes. Confirm anything you intend to rely on.
No promise of a referral
Submitting the form does not guarantee that anyone will contact you, that a contractor is available, that an introduction will be offered, or that a quote will follow.
Permission to contact you
The consent box on the project-request form is unticked by default and you have to tick it yourself. Ticking it means St. Augustine Dock Repair may call, text or email the contact information you entered about your request. Consent is not a condition of any purchase, message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. You can withdraw consent at any time — see the Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
Do not submit someone else's phone number, submit requests you do not intend, scrape this site, or use it to send anything unlawful. We may refuse or discard any submission.
Disclaimer and limits
This site is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. To that same extent, Brian Higdon, sole proprietor is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of this site or from any dealing with a contractor you found through it. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
Changes
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top changes when we do. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the current version.
